Charities

It is important that we educate children on the importance of charities and the work that they do. As a school, we are proud of our commitment to fundraising and the support we show for charitable causes in our locality and both nationally and internationally.

 

A regular cause we raise funds for is Havens Hospices. In 2021, we took part in their Hares about Town campaign and in 2023 it was Herd in the City. These campaigns saw sculptures of hares and elephants positioned on a trail around the whole of Southend. On both occasions our we ran a whole school design competition voted for by the children. We then created our masterpieces and they were put on exhibition! In the process we raised thousands of pounds for an amazing charity.

Other charities we regularly support include MacMillan Cancer Support, Children in Need and Comic Relief.
