Safeguarding & Child Protection

All staff at Friars have annual safeguarding training and throughout the year there are training updates, such as procedures for ‘children missing in education’ and the ‘early help’ process. We ensure that all staff and visitors know who our Designated Safeguard Leads and deputies are.

We are highly committed to keeping children safe. If you have any concerns over a child’s welfare, please ask to speak to one of the adults below.

It is the duty of ALL staff to ensure the safety and well-being of our children. All children name an adult in school they feel they can talk to and we continuously reinforce safeguarding through assemblies, visitors (NSPCC), PSHE, online-safety and workshops for parents.

Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play in safeguarding children. We strive to safeguard and promote the welfare of all of our children, and it is a responsibility we take very seriously. Our school works in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance - ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’. For further information please click the link below.
