Football vs. St Marys
On a cold evening, after school at Friars, we took on St Mary’s in our first league game of the season. We started well and after Harry and Kian had a couple of chances saved in the first half we looked like we were on top. Despite the pressure, the first half ended 0-0 with Loukas making an outstanding save just before half time. The second half was completely different to the first, with St Mary’s being the better side. Loukas, in goal, Billy and Harley, in defence, defended well but unfortunately St Mary’s scored two late goals. Gideon had a chance towards the end of the game that their keeper saved well and the game ended 2-0 to St Marys.
We now move on to our second fixture on Monday 5th December against Sacred Heart knowing that we must play well in both halves to have a chance of winning.
