Football vs. Sacred Heart

What a difference two weeks makes!! After the St Marys game, where we couldn’t score a goal, to beating Sacred Heart 6-1.

The game started and for the first part of the game Sacred Heart passed the ball around well but didn’t have a shot. We then started to get some good tackles in and passed the ball and with our first attach Harry beat the keeper to score. Just minutes later, a good tackle from Denim fell to Kian, who played a pin point pass to Harry to slot home for his second goal. Things got even better before half-time when Harry completed his hat trick after some good work from Gideon. At the break we made changes and Christian and Tristan were brought on and immediately the two worked well together for Tristan to tap in after a goalkeeping error. Sacred Heart then had a couple of good attacks that came to nothing because of the good defending of Billy and Harley. Loukas then sent a clearance to Kian who beat a defender to shoot past the keeper to make it 5-0. Mr Aggus then made some changes and brought Harry back on who then scored his fourth and Friars sixth. Sacred Heart then battled hard and Loukas made 3 great saves before finally being beaten and the score ended 6-1.

A much better passing performance but it was the clinical finishing that won us the game.
