Red Nose Day
What a brilliant day! The children and staff had a dress down day and donated to Comic Relief in order to wear their jeans and football strips.
During the week the children had ‘lip sync’ battles to find the best in each year group and then on Friday there was a battle of the best! The audience was delighted by the performances and the ‘lip syncers’ were all very professional with some fabulous dance moves included. It was very hard to pick the best, but staff voted for Shane in Year 5, who performed ‘Play That Song’ on his own and held the audience in the palm of his hand.
The children in KS2 had a special treat when Mr Boatwright performed Adele’s ‘Hello’ with great panache and enthusiasm. It was a very dramatic performance and not one to be quickly forgotten.
Later in the day Mrs Snow and Mrs Lees got the whole school dancing in a dancethon around the school. Mr Aggus filmed the children all getting into the spirit, whether they were painting or in PE.
Thank you for everyone who donated and we raised a wonderful £319.90!
