Year one visit East Beach

Year 1 have had a fun afternoon on Tuesday visiting East Beach as part of their topic work for Geography ‘The local areas’. The children walked both there and back very well as they talked about all the road signs and buildings they could see. Once on the beach they had fun collecting a range of shells, stones and pebbles which they carried back to class to continue their learning – talking about what they had collected, making pictures with them and reading about these in non-fiction texts. The children had a wonderful time and we are very proud of their behaviour throughout the afternoon.
