Harvest Assembly
On Thursday 12th October, Friars held their Harvest assembly. Parents and careers were extremely generous and the food display looked superb! The assembly began with the song 'Cauliflowers Fluffy'. This was followed by a talk from the Rev. David Mayne, the minister at Shoeburyness and Thorpe Bay Baptist Church, who are a centre for foodbank distributions. He explained to the children what will happen to the food that they so generously donated. The assembly finished with the traditional harvest hymn, ' We plough the fields and scatter'.
Thank you to all parents and careers who donated so much food. It will go to families in the local area.
