Celebration Assembly – 25th November 2022

All of our certificates this week focused on hard work, aiming high, rising to challenges, determination to succeed, super effort, perseverance, improvements in their learning, listening to advice and collaborative working with others.

A big well done to all of the KS1 and KS2 certificate winners pictured below.

Buddy awards

Congratulations and thank you to all of our buddies this week, who were nominated for kindness, helpfulness and for being generally lovely friends towards adults and children alike.

Key words

After over 70 key word certificates last week, we thought there couldn’t possibly be anymore this week, but 18 children still managed to earn one of their keyword certificates – huge congratulations, your hard work in school and at home is certainly paying off.

Rainbow Readers

Well done to our Rainbow readers this week – Harrison (yellow), Toby (orange), Sienna (orange and yellow) and Teo (orange), who earned their awards by reading at home. Don’t forget to keep reading and asking parents or carers to sign your reading records so that you can earn these awards.

Computing Award

Our computing class of the week were Class 4S for their outstanding maturity when recording podcasts this week, enabling ALL children to record their own podcasts with little to no background noise.

Chazo, one of our digital leaders, collected the award on behalf of his class.

Mrs Pinckney also awarded some individual computing awards to Kyle (Year 6) for his 3d modelling designs in computing lessons and at home, around which he has been eager to help, share and support others in the classroom. Also to Lola (Year 3) for persevering with her logo design as part of the digital leader challenge, a lot of which she did outside of school.

Mathemagicians

This week we celebrated our marvellous mathematical mathemagicians…Leilu (Year 6) for her increased stamina and pace when completing her tests this week, this has been reflected in her scores and Spencer (Year 5) for his focus and concentration this week, showing his ability to solve challenging problems in different ways.

Sports Super Stars

This week our Sports Super Stars were our Dodgeball team who took part in the inter-schools competition this week and beat every team they came up against. Well done to Arnolds, Kingsley, Harry, Harriet, George, Alyssa, Isabelle, Jeffrey, Riley and Hope….Super Stars in every sense of the word!

Special Assembly Shout Outs

This week our assembly shout outs went to…

Ozzy and Oscar from Class 1BU and Nicky from 2S.

Mrs Brett also gave a big shout out to everybody who has already submitted their anti-bullying homework. Your designs look amazing! It’s not too late to get your work to us as you still have until next Friday.

Attendance

It was Class 2S who won the Attendance Cup for KS1 this week with 94%. However, Class 3MV stood head and shoulders above the rest to claim the KS2 Attendance Cup and the best in school attendance figure of 98%.

Our whole school attendance stood at 92% this week.

Team Points

This week ‘red’ was the colour as Windsor won the KS1 Team Cup and shared the KS2 Team Cup with Caernarvon.

Stirling were pegged back a little in the overall scores as the chasing teams made ground on our leaders. However, there is still a long, long way to go and many more points to be won before we find out who will be lifting the cup at the end of July!

Congratulations to all of our winners this week!
