Celebration Assembly – 28th January 2022

Achievement Certificates

Well done to all of our certificate winners in KS1 as we saw awards given out for such reasons as; greater confidence in maths, acting on advice, creative writing brilliance, amazing clay work, fantastic superstar mathematics and listening to feedback.


Well done to our KS1 winners: Saya & Aaliyah (1C), Arlie & Iqra (1B), Bay & Daisy (2S) and Riley & Cooper (2B)

Rainbow Reader awards were also awarded for consistent reading at home. Well done to Lathan and Isabel from Class 2B and Ella, Tallulah and Daisy from 2S for earning their awards.

Oliver L in 1B was awarded a Buddy award for being an amazing friend by letting his friend borrow his t-shirt for their clay work in Year 1 this week.

Our KS2 certificates were awarded to children for equally impressive reasons including; great poetry writing, super comprehension skills, marvellous maths, following instructions, having a great positive attitude and being brilliantly behaved,

Ryan and the whole of 3ML (3ML), Billy & Rosie and the whole of 3JD (3JD), Sean, Jemail & Ella (4B) Riley & Dominik (4S), The whole of 5VW, Jenson & Harriet (5BW), Freyaa, Cruise, Gabrielle, Harvey R, Toby, Finley & Kayleigh (6D) and Warren, Abbeygail & the whole of 6G.

Computing certificates were awarded by Mrs Pinckney for both Ethan and Logan K in Year 5. Not only do they both consistently work hard in computing but this week they have shown amazing partnerships with their peers, they are both supportive and welcoming and have provided a great support for their partners and groups this week. Max G in 6G also got a computing award for his consistent, positive ‘can do’ attitude and enthusiasm in computing. Well done and thank you for being great role models to your peers

We also awarded another pen licence this week to Michelle in 4B who has demonstrated consistently beautiful and accurately joined handwriting. Congratulations Michelle – it is well deserved!


Shout Outs

Our assembly shout outs this week went to;

The whole of Year 1 for being brilliant all week without their regular teachers, Class 4B for excellent computing and Maisie, Saffiyah, Freyaa, Ashton and Harvey RV from 6D for amazing, passionate and thought-provoking writing.

A huge shout out also goes to all of the staff in school who have covered extra classes, duties and jobs to keep the school running so smoothly, despite lots of staff having to stay at home.

PE Super Stars

This week it was the turn of Class 6G to earn the PE super star class award for demonstrating outstanding teamwork during their PE lessons. Ebonie in 5VW won the individual PE superstar award for an excellent demonstration of improved hockey technique and ball accuracy.


Attendance

It was four in a row for 2S this week as won the KS1 attendance cup again, while in KS2 it was 4S who won the KS2 cup, recording a best in school figure of 96.4%.


Team Points

This week the school was bathed in a yellow glow as Caernarvon won the KS2 team cup and also shared the KS1 cup with Stirling.
