IoW 2023 Day 2

A pretty good night’s sleep for a first night…

It was another early start today - although not as early as yesterday! We were all up by 6:45am for a 7:30am breakfast. After breakfast, we got everything organised and boarded the coach to our first stop of the day, The Needles. We obviously saw The Needles as well as watching sweet making and glass blowing demonstrations. We didn’t eat any sweets… honest!!!

After lunch, we were back on the coach for the Havenstreet Steam Railway. What a great experience. We watched a film about the history of the railway on the IoW before taking a steam train trip through the countryside. After hopping off, we visited the museum and explored old locomotives and carriages.

The sun has been shining for us again. Thank you sun!

After dinner tonight some of us will be going off for a walk whilst the rest spend time on the beach. We’ll then come back together for some warming hot chocolate.
