IOW Day 2

An excellent second day here on the Isle of Wight. A lovely cooked breakfast started the morning before we hopped on the coach to Monkey Haven. We had a guided tour and learnt lots about the monkeys and Jasmine one of the resident snakes. After this, we had some free time where we walked the park to see the remaining monkeys and the owls. The eagle owl was a particular favourite.

After lunch we departed for The Needles. The Needles are incredibly impressive and possibly the best known landmark on the Isle of Wight. Almost as impressive as the glass blowing workshop and sweet making demonstration we watched there. Both were fascinating and unsurprisingly we all had a taste of the sweets…! Many of us bought bags too - although don’t be shocked if these do not make it home!

This evening we will be going on a scenic coastal walk which will most certainly be a fab way to finish our busy day.
