Shoeburyness and Thorpe Bay Baptist Church visit Year 5

Some of Year 5 were lucky to have a special visit from Vicky Baker and Mark at Shoeburyness and Thorpe Bay Baptist church Tuesday afternoon. The children have been focusing on the journey of life and they have in previous weeks been comparing different religions and their initiation ceremonies. Vicky and Mark came to share their knowledge of how Baptism works in their church. The children were shown, through photographs and resources, how this ceremony takes place. Year 5 had devised some questions for our visitors, which they spent some time discussing. Vicky and Mark were really impressed with how the children conducted the discussion and with their in-depth questions. A lovely afternoon shared together.
