Swimming Team go to the Olympic Pool, Stratford
Smiles and splashing were the order of the day when some of the children from Friars went to the Olympic pool at Stratford on Tuesday to take part in the Panathlon swimming.
The events began with a floating treasure hunt and our swimmers showed off some fabulous skills in getting as many floating items collected as they could in one minute.
The sinking treasure hunt was equally fun filled with two of our swimmers working as a team to collect and deliver the sunken objects to the side of the pool.
All of the children had the opportunity to take part in at least 2 events and experience the thrill of being in a variety of swimming based races with the crowd cheering them on.
The medals they received were as big as their smiles at the end of the day!......Huge!!!!
